35 Week Belly

Here I am in the middle of my 35th week. Still feeling good, but my lower back is really starting to bother me. I also started weekly doctor's visits this week. Everything looks good - no dilating yet. We also had our last birthing class on Saturday. Four weeks out and I think we're pretty ready! (gulp).

Virginia Baby Shower

We had our first shower down in Virginia this weekend. All of my high school friends and their moms came along with a support crew from New Jersey - Kathy, Dot & Zoe. Lots of catching up, babies and present opening!
Becky was the master of ceremonies

Sarah is only 3 weeks behind me - but from the looks of this picuture I could be carrying twins compared to her little belly!

The girls! (Sarah, Me, Aleen, Samantha & Jenny)

Nursery update

The room is offically ready for some furniture! Dave finished painting and trim work this weekend.

33 Week Sonogram

We had our 33 week sonogram on Friday. All looks good! The baby is about 5 lbs (apparently they determine the weight by measuring the head and the stomach). She's also rotated so the head is down and we got another confirmation that it's definitely a girl (Dave was especially relieved he didn't have to repaint the room).

These are a little blurry, but the first shot is a profile, with her hand above her head - you can see four little fingers. The second shot she's looking into the camera.

Nursery Update

The paint in the nursery went up this weekend. We had thought we were choosing a nice blue/grey color - but once it got on the walls its definitely lavender! We decided to do the room 2-toned - so the soffit is a deep purple and the walls are lavender. I know we said we didn't want it to be too girly... let's just hope the doctors are right about the sex.

32 Week Belly

Here I am at 32 weeks. Still feeling great - but slowing down a bit. All the stairs in the house are starting to take their toll... "do I really need something from upstairs?"
