Lauren Learns to Ride a Two Wheeler!

She tried and tried all summer and finally she got it! Lauren is officially riding a two wheel bike without training wheels. She was determined to get it and with some coaching from Dave (she would take none of my coaching) she got it. 

Here she is a little wobbly, but riding with confidence anyway. She hasn't quite mastered breaking yet, so she's either slowing down and jumping off, or using her shoes. We're hoping the breaking happens soon, before we need to purchase all new shoes. 

Spring 2017

Spring is in full bloom in Bala Cynwyd. The trees in our front yard are in full pink bloom and all of the bulbs Dave planted in the fall are coming up. Our yard might be the most colorful in the neighborhood. 

Sophie is extremely proud that she can climb this tree by herself now. She's been taking rock climbing for about 4 months and has gotten pretty strong.

Lauren outgrew the glider bike, but isn't quite ready for 2 wheels yet, so we put the training wheels on Sophie's old bike, and she's loving it. Now that the weather is nice she's outside every day after school and on the weekends riding up and down Brentwood Rd.

Sophie Rides a Two Wheeler!

Today Sophie finally rode a two wheeler bike on her own! After three straight days of frustration and tears she finally got her confidence up and peddled hard. She was very proud of herself and so were we!
