Sophie in the Car

We turned Sophie's car seat around a few weeks ago and now she's much happier. She's also getting better at entertaining herself. Here are two videos I took this weekend. Animal Noises

Sophie is starting to talk a ton - although we can't understand most of it. She does love her animal sounds though. She has cow and cat down pat. Dog is a little harder.

Playing with Benson's Food

No matter how many new toys we give Sophie - her most favorite thing in the kitchen in Benson's food & water (much to his dismay). She knows she's not supposed to play with it, which makes it that much more tempting I guess. She was cracking herself up so much this time, I thought I'd record it before letting her know she was caught. You'll see how thrilled Benson is about the whole thing. Video here.

Do you speak Swahili?

Apparently Sophie thinks it might be a good language to learn.
Her new things is clicking her tongue and then waiting for you to click yours back. Here's a video.

We've got a Crawler!

For the last week or so Sophie has been on the move. Mostly she's after Benson, but in this short clip she's after one of his toys (yuck). Although we have what seems like hundreds of toys around the house for her, his seem to be much more interesting.

First Solid Food - the action shots

We just got a Mac and are having fun learning how to make movies. Here's a first shot at it - Sophie's first taste of solid food to the tune of the Gipsy Kings.

Laughing

Sophie has been giving us some good belly laughs lately - which when you watch you can't help but laugh yourself. We just figured out how to download videos off of the video camera, so this one is actually from July 4th (as you'll notice from her festive outfit).

Smiling and giggling

Sophie's finally smiling more and giggling. She's also doing a lot of talking - although who knows what she's saying. This was her this morning being in a jolly mood.

Trying for a Smile

Sophie isn't quite smiling on purpose yet - but we're working on it. Here she is alert and looking around, which is darn cute even if she's not smiling.

Hiccups

Sophie gets the hiccups about once a day, sometimes more. It’s pretty cute, so I tried to capture it. Not to worry – after this video and I picked her up before she started crying. I don’t think she thinks they’re as cute as we do.
